Asian Moon Rice

Original.

This is a really simple one to make, but the results are very exotic. And the aroma as it cooks is just bedazzling.

Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons of dry Oolong tea.
2 Tablespoons of fresh Ginger Root.
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil.
2 Cups Parboiled Rice.
2 Teaspoons of salt (or more to taste, but I rather like this rice sweet-tasting).

Prep:

1) Crush/chop Oolong tea leaves until it becomes a coarse powder.
2) Finely chop enough Ginger root to get two tablespoons.
3) Heat Olive oil in medium pot over mid-high flame
4) Add ginger, and stir for one to two minutes, allowing ginger to brown a bit.
5) Add crushed tea and stir for one additional minute.
6) Add rice and salt, and stir until thoroughly mixed with previous ingredients. Should take about 30 seconds.
7) Add 4 cups of water.
8) Once it begins to boil, lower heat, cover pot with its lid and allow rice to completely soak up liquid (About 15~20) minutes.

Enjoy!

Dinner is served...

There is now one more cooking blog on the internet, whether you like it or not.

I'm sure there must be 30,000 other cooking/kitchen blogs out there, but this one is mine!. I'll be posting recipes that I've either created, or enjoyed cooking at one point or another, kitchen-related posts and generic nonsensical rants at some point or another.

If you find something you like -or even better- if you think I might like something, let me know.

Goals for this year:
One post per week. (Let's start humble, ok?)

Dinner is served!
